John Bradford’s campaign for the 98th District state House of Representatives seat has won support from the NC Fraternal Order of Police Charlotte-Mecklenburg Lodge No. 9.
Bradford, a Republican and current Cornelius commissioner, announced the latest endorsement last week. He’s running against Democrat Natasha Marcus for the seat, which is open because current state Rep. and House Speaker Thom Tillis (R-Cornelius) is running for US Senate against incumbent Sen. Kay Hagan.
“The relationship between our community and our police force is a sacred covenant that I take very seriously,” Bradford said in a press release. “That is why the FOP’s endorsement makes me very proud. We need to make sure that we stand by our police officers who work every day to protect our community.”
